| Tack strips
are a commonly used when a customer is wanting wall-to-wall carpeting installed
over a wood or concrete sub floor. Tack strips are used to secure the carpeting
during the install around the edges of the room. These tack strips grip the edges
of the carpet backing to hold it firmly in place over time. |

| At times it
is necessary to replace these strips due to pet urine or a recent water
damage that may have occurred in your home or office location. When faced
with these circumstances we do recommend replacing your tack strips as
soon as possible due to the issues being at the sub floor level where mold,
bacteria, and other forms of growth may cause further problems in the future
for you and your family. |

| If we determine
that tack strips must be replaced we can easily assist you with this process
by nailing, screwing, or gluing down new tack strips to the sub floor.
If the carpet and/or padding can be saved we will most definitely re-use
it. Otherwise, we will need new carpet from the customer in order to complete
the service at hand. Once we have everything in place we will always re-strech
your carpet back into place using our professional power stretcher. |
